Tourism Ireland in Italy, in conjunction with the Irish Embassy in Rome, hosted a special send-off event for the Italian women’s rugby team. The event, hosted by HE Bobby McDonagh, Irish Ambassador to Italy, was organised to wish the team well and to raise the profile of the tournament, which takes place here next month. Officials from the Federazione Italiana Rugby (Italian Rugby Federation), as well as the Deputy Head of Mission from the British Embassy, were also in attendance.

Tourism Ireland in London, in conjunction with Fáilte Ireland, invited journalist Tania Compton to visit in 2016. The resulting article appears in the August edition of House & Garden, describing the gardens at Lismore Castle as “an enchanting haven of fragrant meadows, towering magnolias and ancient stone gateways”. It features wonderful images of the castle exterior and its beautiful grounds.
