Dante Opens Wine Fest

vre showrooms in.  The openiing session, called “Not the Usual Suspects” with Febvre Wine Educator, Noel MacMahon featured wines made from ‘unusual’ or alternative varieties.  Febvre wines will be on show each working day during February and visitors can also experience Le Verre de Vin Wine by the Glass technology which keeps both still and sparkling wines fresh for 21 days.
Dante Cecchini from Castello Banfi (pictured) in Italy hosted “The Tuscan Lifestyle” Tasting in Drury Buildings, Dublin 2  yesterday and is at Il Vicolo Restaurant in Galway on Wednesday 3rd.  Yeserday's session included  a vertical of Brunello di Montacino 1993, 2005 and 2010 vintages.
 
France is featured on  Thursday 3rd when Louis Fabrice Latour, the seventh Louis Latour and the eleventh generation of the family to run the business first established in 1797, will present twelve wines that tell the story of innovation at Latour.

Maritime Festival Honoured

 
The Irish Maritime Festival, Drogheda, Co Louth was honoured with the Fáilte Ireland Best Tourism Initiative at the LAMA Community and Council Awards 2106, held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Santry,

 The LAMA Community & Council Awards recognise community and councils together. 
 The Irish Maritime Festival is Ireland’s largest annual maritime, food and family festival. Taking place each summer on the quayside at Drogheda Port, the festival attracted over 40,000 visitors in 2015.
