Dalata has bought the Clarion Hotel in Sligo for €13m.
It had been put on the market on the instruction of receiver Aiden Murphy of Crowe Horwath.
Opened for business at the height of the boom in 2005, the hotel’s building dates from 1848 and was offered last October with a pricetag of €7 million.
The Irish Times reported last October that the hotel had undergone a €45 million overhaul before it first opened its doors as a hotel.
