The FEBVREUARY® events, open to trade only, will include wine tasting from Febvre’s portfolio as well as allow attendees meet visiting winemakers; attend educational seminars and learn the latest in global consumer wine trends for 2016. From France, Louis Fabrice Latour will host a tasting about the Twelve Wines that tell the story of innovation at Maison Louis Latour over the last century. Marcelo Rematal, Chief Winemaker of De Martino and named 13th most influential winemaker in the world by Decanter magazine, will talk about ‘A very different Chile’. . Winemakers Chester Osborne from D’Arenberg, will join Herve Robert of Delas Wines, France in Dublin through Skype from Australia in a comparison of the ‘Rhône Style’ wines from D’Arenberg and the Rhône wines from Delas. Fiona Beckett, award winning journalist and blogger of www.matchingfoodandwine.com will travel the country demonstrating how different wines can enhance food and each talk will be adapted to the venue where the workshop is taking place. Jan Konetzki, Head Sommelier at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, London will share his thoughts on creating a new wine list following his recent win of the ‘2015 Imbibe Wine List of the Year- Sommelier Award’. Jan will also offer one to one consultancy advice on your wine list after the talk – strictly by booking only. Dante Cecchini from Castello Banfi from Italy will host ‘The Tuscan Lifestyle’ tasting and Isabel Monteiro from Warre’s Port a vertical tasting to include Quinta da Cavadinha vintages from 1992; 1998; 2001; 2005; 2010 and 2012. The Basque Culinary Centre ‘Irish meets Basque’ Pintxos Demonstration will be hosted by an award-winning Chef from the Basque Country and matched with a selection of Conde de Valdemar from Rioja. Richard Halstead, COO of Wine Intelligence UK will host a workshop on Global Consumer Wine Trends for 2016. Throughout the month Febvre will be opening up 21 still and sparkling wines on a rolling basis for the trade to taste. They will also be demonstrating Le Verre de Vin Wine by the Glass technology which keeps all wines fresh for 21 days, as well as showing their full range of Spiegelau Glassware and EuroCave® cabinets.
