A group of 20 UK Inbound travel organisers are in Ireland this week meeting with 60 Irish operators to find out what Ireland can offer their customers in the months ahead. The

meetings are taking place at the Radisson Blu, Sligo at one of Fáilte Ireland’s annual sales workshops which is organised in conjunction with Tourism Ireland.

The operators all represent the UK Inbound market and focus on attracting visitors from across the world into the UK and Ireland. This year, a number of the operators are experiencing Ireland for the first time with a view to including them in their sales programme for the first time.
Speaking at the workshop, Ciara Sugrue, Head of Trade and Promotions, Fáilte Ireland said:
“These influential tour operators represent a great opportunity for Ireland to attract more tourists from some of our key overseas markets. The recent drop in Sterling has made the UK an attractive destination for many overseas visitors and by targeting these operators we can ensure that Ireland has the chance to reap some of these benefits.”
