Aparthotel for pub site

Plans to knock down one of Dublin's most famous pubs to make way for the construction of an aparthotel have been given the go-ahead, despite locals' objections.
Tom O'Connor wants to demolish Scruffy Murphy's - off Mount Street near the Grand Canal - as part of plans for new tourist accommodation with self-catering facilities.
Mr O'Connor was seeking planning for 36 suites. However, the number of suites is to be reduced after the city council ruled that one of the six floors be omitted from the permission granted.
The development also includes a restaurant, bar and café on the ground floor.
Consultants for Mr O'Connor said the development would address the deficit of flexible aparthotel rooms in Dublin.
